Project Title:

“Conspiracies: The story of DIA”

Denver International Airport (DIA) has some secrets. At least, that is what conspiracy theorists on the internet will tell you. Built as a replacement for Stapleton Airport, near Denver, in 1995, DIA has always had its share of nefarious conspiracy theories about it. From the beginning, Coloradoans have theorized about the airport’s secret tunnels, clues to secret societies, and horrifying harbingers of doom “hidden” in public artwork around the Denver hub.

This piece will be a fast and dark contemporary concert piece with plenty to keep percussion busy and involve every section in on the fun!

Details:

  1. The project will be initiated once 10 schools commit to the project at $450 per group. If the consortium reaches 20 schools or more, each school will only pay a $225 fee to be in the consortium.
  2. Completion date is still to be determined.
  3. You will receive digital score and parts.  Print as many copies as you program needs!
  4. A flex version of the piece to allow all instrumentation and group sizes.
  5. XML files for integration with Smart Music or Music First will be included.
  6. Zoom or google meet clinics with any ensemble for $100 a session are available.
  7. The lead director’s school will have first performance rights and all remaining consortium members will have exclusive performance rights for the following year after the lead school’s performance.
  8. If schools are interested in doing a virtual performance with other members of the consortium, I will facilitate that process.
