At this point it looks like most of my spots are full for fall writing. Previous music books may still be available for purchase. Depending on your needs or changes in schedule I may still be able to take on 1 or 2 music books and maybe 1 or 2 drill books.

Check out the premiere performance of "The Corner of 100th and Michigan Avenue". In this Grade 5 piecee, the melody of the Old 100th is woven throughout. I use the street Michigan Avenue because it was inspired by my experiences at the 2009 Midwest band and orchestra clinic in Chicago.

"Get Used to the Blues" was written for the Morton Jr. High School Jazz Band's 2010 Illinois Music Educators Association State Convention performance. The Lyrics were written by Ben VandenBerg, a MJHS faculty member.

"Night" for young band was recently selected for publication in the 2011 Alfred Music Catalogue. A Grade 1 - 1.5, it was written for the Morton (IL) Beginning Band.

I am happy to be able to officially announce that my piece “(Re-Connected): Three Incomplete Curves” is a finalist in the 2nd International Frank Ticheli Composition Contest for band. Here is the premiere performance of "...what cannot be expressed..." written for the Morton Jr. High School 8th Grade Band in memory of Heidi White. This performance is from the Heidi White Scholorship Concert, and the Morton High School Chorale joined the 8th graders for the premiere.

Tonight was the premiere performance of "(Re-Connected): Three Incomplete Curves". The concert was great from top to bottom. My thanks go out to Colin Holman the director of the Fox Valley Concert Band and the members of the band for all of their hard work preparing the piece.
