Congratulations Morton

order for the Blue Springs Golden Regiment from
Blue Springs, MO. They also found out that they

Recently
the Illinois State University Wind Symphony
conducted by Dr. Steve Steele was kind enough
to rehearse and record my piece "A Changed
Anthem". The original work was selected
for the NBA Young Composer Mentor Project
in 2005, however this is a significant reworking
of that piece. Click on the image to the left
to listen. "A Changed Anthem" was
written in memory of the events of September
11, 2001.

A new series of brass etudes will be available
through Layered Publishing. Low brass etudes
are composed by Craig Fitzpatrick (Craig's
BIO available on this website) and are based
on the style of various classic wind band
composers. The high brass etudes are composed
by Ben Harloff, an original “Blast!”
cast member and soloist, as well as instructor
with many university and high school groups.
He currently works with Carolina Crown.
Each month a new etude will be available
from layered.org. Click on the layered logo at the bottom to go to their main page. Click
