In Time I tried to represent both the constant and relative
aspects of time through diverse rhythmic
writing as well as metric modulations. For
example, there is always material in the
piece that passes at a constant rate of speed
no matter what tempo prevails.
I wrote this setting of the verse for my sister-in-law’s wedding. It is a new and interesting setting of the text.
